Türk Kütüphaneciliğinde Siyaset Öğesi
Özet
It can theoretically be said that there is a meaninful relationship between the politics, which is one of the conponents of the social structure, and the library. Based on this hypothesis, the following historical developments are evaluated from the viewpoint of politics-library relationship: The French Note of 1867, The General Education Law of 1869, 2nd Constitutional Period (1908-1918) and the Unity and Development Party (İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti), The Turkish Society (Türk Ocakları) during the Ottoman Period, and the unity of Education Law, the Reform of the Turkish Alphabet, the Community Centers (Halkevleri), and the Report of the Committee of Libraries during the Republican Period. It was concluded that library developments that can be regarded as important during the Ottoman and Republican periods are the by-products of the process of the political process.
