In satellite communication, there are various methods for providing link budget at low elevation angles relative to the horizon line. The most widely used of them is the use of antennas with isoflux radiation pattern. In this way, it is possible to communicate with the ground station without the need for any antenna pointing electromechanical system or phased array antenna.
Reflectarray antennas consist of a combination of parabolic reflectors and array antenna techniques. In this way, the main beam orientation can be made without the need for any power divider or phase shifter network. They also have less volume and mass compared to parabolic reflectors.
This thesis aims to design reflectarray antenna system with particle swarm optimization algorithm with isoflux radiation pattern at different maximum elevation angles.
