Türkiye'de Tarım Desteklerinin Bölgesel Dağılımı; 2002-2018
Özet
Agriculture is a fundamental sector for the economies of countries in terms of meeting the nutritional needs of the living creatures, providing employment and being subject to foreign trade. Agriculture holds a strategic place in Turkey's economy, in terms of employment, economic growth and bears great potential in terms of value addition and exports. Due to the fact that the sector is directly affected by climate conditions, unexpected natural events and related to possible economic fluctuations, changing diplomatic relations between countries; there are high risks in the sector each of which generate the necessity of the support for agriculture. Since our country's natural resources are insufficient in terms of petroleum, natural gas etc. and being dependent on foreign sources for the provision of raw materials for the industrial production necessitates economic orientation towards agriculture. In this respect, agricultural support policies should be given to the right products and the right areas in line with the needs. Effective planning of the agricultural supports, development plans, public investments and projects in this area in order to taking the expected yield are important for the development of agriculture, which is a key element of our country's economy. Within the scope of the thesis study, agricultural state subsidies in Turkey were researched, by combining the data obtained from the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry database and TURKSTAT, the distribution of agricultural supports by NUTS regions in 2002-2018 was examined and the effects of supports and payments on agricultural production were analyzed by descriptive method. The share of sectors in national income, the distribution of these sectors and agricultural supports in 12 regions were examined.
