Abstract

One person plays which have been shown since the beginning of the theatre history but created a new area under its own title after Modernism is the focus point of this thesis assignment. While examining the plays, the differences of the types from one another like the art of meddah, one-person play, one-person theatre, collage, audition which were made up by one person were touched upon. The changes that were experienced while moving from the art of meddah to one-person plays, the textural features of the one-person plays, topics like the plays which were shown by one person weren’t one-person theatre kinds of subjects were examined. The examined plays are reflecting the inner world of the person, the things he can’t tell the others and again the events that cause the person to hold on to life or to feel disconnected from life. This type which takes attention after the first one-person Turkish theatre play in 1965 has been written and played nowadays.
