Abstract

The Arab Alawites, one of the ancient peoples of Anatolia and Levant, have unique qualities in the forms of ethno-religious organization. The Arab Alawitess, which maintains its minority positions with the content of mysticism, has faced secular superstructure institutions along with the adventure of westernization and modernization of Turkey and has updated. This research aims to analyze the worldly tendencies of the Arab Alawis in Tarsus, taking into consideration the necessity of "mapping culture to religion before the secularization". Therefore, the current meanings that the world's meanings with the mythical designs preserved in the previous generations and the additions and ellipsis of those who make up the age and the perpettations attributed to Alawite constitute the content of this thesis.
