Özet
The age in which we live is considered to be the most effective and intensive use of information
period of using information in human history. For this reason “information age” used to define
this age and “information society” used to define the society who lives in this age. The intensive,
effective and widespread use of information has made it a force. However, it is necessary to fulfill
certain requirements in order to reveal the benefits of this power. In particular, it can be said that
for the institutional structures where information is intensively produced and used, the way to
survive depends on the manage informaiton properly in the competitive environment. The
institutions that understand the importance and the power of knowledge develop various methods
and systems to manage the information they produce or obtain in some way. Accordingly with
the development of technology, these methods and systems are change and develop too.
Particularly, the rapid development of technology about the information causes the system,
methods and approaches which are developed in the management and control of information
change continuously. In order to cope with this change, institutions have started to create units
and systems specialized in information management.
As a result of the importance of interaction and interoperability in studies on knowledge
management has emerged there was a need to carry out the studies within the framework of certain
rules. To meet this need, have been made various national and international regulations and
projects and have been developed standards. The rapid change in information technologies and
the constantly changing conditions in economic and social life lead to the revision and renewal of
these studies. Institutions are constantly striving to adapt their information management activities
to changing conditions and requirements. Nowadays, configure and kept up to date the electronic
systems which used information management are seen as an important problem.
In this study, information has been dealt with in various dimensions, the value and impact of
knowledge in terms of management has been put forward and important studies that can be
evaluated within the scope of knowledge management have been examined. Documents, which
are the carrier of information, are dealt with especially within the scope of corporate information
management. A proposal is made on how to configure the systems needed for the electronic
management of archives which hosting corporate documents. In the proposal, used various
graphical and work flow diagrams to explain the basic elements that the software should have in
order to be dynamic, flexible, scalable and adaptable. In the proposal, it is thought that the

development of the criteria for the structuring of electronic archive management systems where
selection, conversion, identification and quality control processes are realized will contribute to
the solution of digitalization and electronic archive management problems in Turkey.
