Müzik Videolarında Üç Boyutlu Görsel Efekt Kullanımı ve Bir Müzik Video Uygulaması
Özet
In our age, along with the unpredictable development of technology, the systems
that direct our lives also change. Herewith the expansion of digital media that
keeping visuality in the foreground with a cultural and social identity, using
technological possibilities, the art of visual effects had an important place in this
environment. The visual effects are powerful means of telling a thought, a story,
or a dream. The music videos are one of the digital medias that use visual effects
to embody abstract concepts and create a visual expression. The message that
the music wants to convey with sounds and lyrics has a more effective and
powerful transmission as it can be expressed visually by both auditory and visual
perception. In this thesis, the importance of the usage of three-dimensional visual
effects in music videos and examination of their application styles will be covered.
In the first chapter: The formation of the relationship between music and visuality
is mentioned. Given place to first examples of the music videos from Worldwide
and Turkey while historic proccess is discussed. The place and importance of
music videos in today's culture is mentioned by explaining the process of
industrialization. In the second chapter, the definition of special effects and visual
effects is made and the historical process of the three dimensional visual effect
is given. The usage areas of the three dimensional visual effects are mentioned
and the production stages are divided into sections. The historical process of
three dimensional visual effects in music videos is briefly mentioned. The effect
of three-dimensional visual effects on music videos is detailed in the reviewed
music videos. In the third chapter, the production process of a music video with
three-dimensional visual effects is discussed in coverage of the thesis study. As
a result of the application, the results arising from the combination of threedimensional
visual effects and music video were examined in accordance with
the thesis objectives and limitations.
