Bilinçli Farkındalık ve Psikolojik Sermayenin Çalışanların İyi Oluş Hali Üzerindeki Rolü
Özet
It is known that employees face some challenging situations in their lives due to the individual, social and organizational factors. Personality traits and psychological resources can play an important role against these challenges. In the framework of Conservation of Resources Theory (Hobfoll, 1989) and Self-Determination Theory (Ryan and Deci, 2000), the aim of this study is to investigate the role of trait mindfulness and positive psychological capital (PsyCap) on the well-being of employees (EWB). The data was collected from 210 nurses who work in various health institutions. The research hypotheses were tested using Process Macro (Hayes, 2017). Results suggest that, the relationship between trait mindfulness and EWB is partially mediated by PsyCap. The EWB model of this study has enabled to
investigate different indicators of well-being including subjective well-being (SWB), workplace well-being (WWB) and psychological well-being (PWB). We conducted another mediation analyzes to investigate the possible differences among these well-being indicators. Results suggest that, while the relationship between trait mindfulness and WWB is fully mediated by PsyCap, the relationship between both
trait mindfulness-SWB and trait mindfulness-PWB is partially mediated by PsyCap. These findings are important based on characteristics of both trait mindfulness and PsyCap such as ability to improvement. The findings were discussed and suggestions were made for the experts who work in the related field.
