Kuyucak Jeotermal Rezervuarının Nümerik Modeli
Özet
The increasing interest to geothermal investments in Turkey brings more attention to the sustainable resource management. Numerical modeling is a powerful and significant tool in order to achieve efficient geothermal reservoir management.
In project scope, the conceptual model of the geothermal field located in Aydın Kuyucak region was developed with interpretation of geological and hydrogeological data deriving from field and drilled wells. The geothermal resource is planned to be operated 30 years for electricity generation. The conceptual model was tested through numerical modelling using FEFLOW software.
The methodology includes transferring geological layers, tectonic elements, hydraulic and thermal properties to software and defining the boundary conditions. The natural state modeling was conducted in order to present the current situation and the results were calibrated using the observed static temperature values and hydraulic heads gathering from well logs.
A manageable and acceptable geothermal reservoir model of the field was achieved at the end of the study. In order to get more accurate results, a transient model run is recommended before using the model for operation scenarios.
