Özet
Igor Stravinsky is known as one of the artists who opened and led the Neo-Classical period. By invigorating Baroque and Classical period materials, the perspective he brought to the 20. Century made him quite famous in that time. His meeting with Samuel Dushkin changed his view on the violin, which led to the emergence of Stravinsky's first and last single violin concerto. Stravinsky, who never liked the violin and the romance before, developed an unique style with the effects he used in his concerto. He did not write a cadence for violin as he attached more importance to the entire orchestra of the violin concerto. Stravinsky adhered to the traditional period, which made him more special than other contemporary composers of the period. Stravinsky's techniques used in violin concerto and his perspective on the violin were examined and explained in detail in the following study.
