The intervention group was exposed to the psychoeducation program within the context of the Roy Adaptation Model, attending 7 sessions once a week for 90-120 minutes. The scales were administered prior to and following the education, with a final application carried out one month after the last session. Intervention wasn’t conducted with the control group but the measurements were taken in the same manner. Percentages, means, standard deviation, the independent groups t test and the two-way repeated measures analysis of variance were employed in the analysis of the data. To conclude, it was determined that the psychoeducation provided to patients with Behçet’s Disease in the context of the Adaptation Model increased adaptation to the illness, self-esteem and diminished psychiatric symptoms.
