Özet
In this thesis, historical phenomena and concepts which make possible the term “aesthetics of evil” are brought together and examined. Some aesthetic experience opportinities where new mwanins of good and evil can be revealed at the intersections of ethical and aesthetic judgements were searched and tried to be presented in conceptual integrity with the Works produced within the thesis. Historical connection between corporeality and evil, the images of Jesus’ suffering body, the grotesque imagery of the middle Ages and the Renaissance, some of the images that psychoanalysis leads to the primary scenes and can be seen as a repeat of the trauma, cultural definitions such as ugliness and monstority have been taken as bases and implications of them for aesthetic experience have been researched. The political, ethical and aesthetic integrity of the images of the aftermaths, the practice of ambiguate the contemporary tendencies that move away from the monumentality of evil to omnipresence, look at the darkness and imagine it leading to an understanding of the integrity of existence.
