Özet
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of meaningful work on organizational citizenship behavior. For this purpose; meaning of work is discussed according to its dimensions which are positive meaning, meaning making through work, greater good motivations and the other topic is discussed according to five dimensions which are altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, conscientiousness, and civic virtue.
The study was conducted using data collection tools, which are Data Form, The Work and Meaning Inventory and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale to 104 employees in the provinces of Ankara, district of Çankaya and Yenimahalle in Seyranbağları Nursing Home Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation Center, Ümitköy Nursing Home Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation Center,, Demetevler Fatma Üçer Nursing Home Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation Center, and 75th Year Nursing Home Geriatric Care and Rehabilitation Center.
The analyzes carried out within the scope of the research shows that; meaning of work has an effect on organizational citizenship behaviors, within the scope of altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, conscientiousness, and civic virtue dimensions.
