Toplum Temelli Ruh Sağlığı Hizmetlerinde Koruyucu ve Önleyici Boyutun Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate protective and preventive dimension in community based mental health services. In Turkey protective and preventive mental health services served by Community Mental Health Centers(CMHC). So through the experiences of social workers working in CMHC and patients receiving services from these centers these services have been evaluated. This research which has been designed the qualitive research pattern focus on detail interview approach. Social workers working in CMHC in Ankara linked to the Health Ministry and patients served by these CMHC have been detailed interviews by using semi-structured interview forms. The results obtained from detailed interviews have been analyzed by using the MAXQDA 12 pocket program. As results of this research the difficulties that social workers have experienced in the transition to community based mental health services, the services provided by CMHCs in micro, mezzo and macro dimensions and the levels of participation in these services and current policies related limitations have been identified. As te end of this research, proposals are presented to increase the quality of the services provided by TRSMs, to eliminate the limitations of social workers working in TRSMs, to prevent stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illnesses, to increase the employment of patients and to improve their mental health policies.
