The main subject of this thesis is based on a ˝Ta'bîr-nâme˝ that Muhyiddin İbnü'l-Arabî translated after a careful compilation of İbn-i Sîrîn and other tabir-names. İt is named ˝Ta'bîr-nâme-i Muhyiddin Arabî Kuddise Sirruhu’l Te’âlâ ˝ by its writer. Along with this tabirname, a ˝Seğir-nâme˝ also takes place on the first pages.
Despite the fact that the features of the language used in this piece are similar to the Old Anatolian Turkish, it is estimated that the piece was written between the 12th and 13th centuries, the years during which the translator Muhyiddin İbnü'l –Arabî lived. The time when it was written is not defined in the text.
Although İbn-i Sîrîn was one of the hadith scholars of his time, he became famous mostly for his dream interpretations. After İbn-i Sîrîn a lot of pieces are written under the same title, and that is why we should not consider as original all the pieces attributed to İbn-i Sîrîn.
Seğir-nâme, harakatti, in verse, nesih written, is organized in 25 lines per page and only 17 lines on the fourth page. İn this piece’s 1b-3b pages, a total of 5 pages is in the same place with the index part. There are a total of 112 twitches in the text.
Ta'bîr-nâme, harakatti, prosaical, nesih written, organized in 53 bab and 21 lines per page, consists of a total of 48 pages. In this thesis takes place the translation of 15 bab, which means 20 pages. The piece also has an index part.
Ta'bîr-nâme-i Tuhfetü’l-Mülûk transcription, another piece related to dream interpretations, which is found in Ta'bîr-nâme’s pages’ edges, is also included in this thesis. Tuhfetü’l-Mülûk is a dreams’ interpretation book written by Muhyiddin İbnü'l-Arabî who compiled the Muhammed İbn-i Sîrîn and İbrahim Kirmani’s tabirnames. This piece’s writer, copyist and the date when it was written and copied is not defined.
Tuhfetü’l-Mülûk, harakatti, prosaic and nesih written, is organized in 60 bab. It consists of a total of 45 pages with 39 lines per page. The first 26 bab, meaning 20 pages, are included in this thesis. The piece also has the index part.
There are seven copies of this piece that we have identified. The copy we have worked on has been used taking permission from an individual collection found in Zallbastar, an Albanian village. The other copies, one of which was printed in Dersaadet Printing House in 1913, are today found in ISAM e-book collection, rare pieces section of Theological Faculty of Marmara University.
The dream interpretations in Ta'bîr-nâme are also supported by examples from Kur'ân and hadiths and stories as well. The thesis is made of two parts: The transcription and The concordance of the text.
