Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretiminde Yazınsal Metinlerin B1 Düzeyine Uyarlanması: Eskici Örneği
Özet
It's an accentuated issue whether original or adapted texts could be utilized in foreign language education so as to develop understanding skills. The original texts used in teaching Turkish with regards to linguistic and communicative domains of text are meaningful for the advanced level learners. However, as the elementary and intermediate level learners don't have adequate background information it is hard for them too comprehend an original literary text. Within this context, this study's first target is to simplify an authentic text with textlinguistics criteria by not detracting from the authentic text. Within the limits of this study, before the adaptation, it has been included that the text was chosen and after this came the process of scientific simplification and testing the simplified text of reading comprehension skills. With this purpose, an original very short story that belongs to fictional narrative type of literary works called 'Eskici' by Refik Halid Karay was chosen and then the original story was analyzed in terms of textlinguistic criteria, primarily cohesion and coherence. Then, in conformity with the same criteria, the original story was adapted to B1 level and after all, some reading comprehension questions to check the comprehension level were posed.
