Throughout history Safavi era has the richest resource. There are over 40 books from this era. Each one of those books are highly important. Without a doubt, one of the most prominent of those resources is the book called Tekmeletol Akhbar. Unfortunately only 3-4 of the books from that era have been translated into Turkish.
This thesis study is about the assessment of the Turkish translation version of the book named Takmelat al-akbar, written by Abdi Bey Şirazi, one of the important poets and authors of the XVI. Century, and containing the events that took place from 1501, foundation of the Safavid Dynasty, to 1571. This book has been published for the first time by Abdul Hussein Nevayi in Tehran in 1991. The translated version is based on this book published by Abdul Hussein Nevayi.
Abdi Bey Shirazi started work as the accountant of the Shah’s palace during the Safavi era. Abdi Bey was also a one of the most famous poets of the Safavi era, writing with the pseudonym of Nevidi. He has two Hamsa and one Hazna that reached this day. In all the masnavis written by Nevidi, there are a total of over 54,947 couplets. Abdi Bey intensely used this poetic ability he had in the book called Takmelat al-akbar.
