Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Gençlik Döneminde Yaşadıkları Aile Sorunları Ile Depresif Belirtiler Arasındaki Ilişkide Mükemmeliyetçiliğin Aracı Rolünün Incelenmesi

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediator role of perfectionism on the relationship between family problems of young adulthood and depressive symptoms of university students.The sample in the study consists of 231 (75.7 %) female and 74 (24.3 %) male students from various departments at Hacettepe University during 2014 – 2015 semesters. The ages of the participants were ranging between 18 – 28 and with a mean of 21.01 (SD = 2.04) years. In the study ‘‘Demographic Information Form’’, ‘‘Family Problems of Young Adulthood Evaluation Scale’’ , ‘‘Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale – Frost (MPS – F)’’, ‘‘Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale – Hewitt (MPS – H)’’ and ‘‘Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)’’ were administered to the participants. Correlational Analyses and Hierarchical Regression Analyses were applied to the gathered data in the study.
