Kant'tan Nietzsche'ye Alman Düşüncesinde Sanatta “Deha” Üzerine Bir İnceleme
Özet
The main problem of this investigation is to explain what the concept of genius means in German thought and, in this process, to address why this concept was needed, along with the transformations in its meaning, which was academically and philosophically shaped, in the hands of Kant and, in a sense, came to an end with Nietzsche. The reason for focusing on German thought is that German thinkers have produced the most comprehensive and influential studies on genius. In this investigation, German thought primarily refers to German Idealism. In this context, philosophers who influenced or were influenced by this thought, either positively or negatively, have been examined. The expected outcomes of this investigation are as follows: First, an investigation focusing on genius within German thought will inherently result in serving as a stepping stone for other studies in this field and providing a roadmap for possible more detailed research. Once this investigation is completed, this result will naturally emerge. Another outcome will be to determine whether the influence of the Apollonian-Dionysian duality, which Nietzsche attributed to the progress of art, can also be observed in the emergence of genius. A third outcome will be to explore whether a universally accepted and still valid definition of genius can be established. Finally, the study will attempt to explain what happened to the concept of artistic genius after Nietzsche, given that today we cannot discuss the concept and existence of genius as firmly as it was once addressed in German thought.
