This thesis analyses the ongoing transformational nature of male identity in comparison with its literary trajectories, and consequently the socio-cultural and psychological changes that the twenty-first century man undergoes through the protagonists and narratives of Julien Green, Michel Houellebecq and Edouard Louis' “Moïra”, “Extension du domaine de la lutte” and “Qui a tué mon père?” respectively. Paradigmatically and etymologically examined masculinities and the projection of the epistemological structure of the twenty-first century man, which is one of the turning points in the history of masculinity, in the works in question are investigated and their parallelism with the existing sociological axes is discussed. As a result, the structural components of the concept of ‘neo-male’ are revealed, and the chronological development and transformation of this structure is explained through the works mentioned.
