ABLASYON TEDAVİSİ UYGULANAN HASTALARIN GERİYE DÖNÜK İNCELENMESİ

Rhythm disorders are a common group of diseases in children. Although antiarrhythmic medical managements are often effective in treatment; catheter ablation treatment is applied in recurrent or permanent symptomatic arrhythmias resistant to medical treatment or where medical treatment is not tolerated or preferred. Catheter ablation performed using radiofrequency or cryothermal energy has become an important option, especially in the management of patients with various tachyarrhythmia types. In this study, the clinical, electrocardiographic, 24-hour Holter recording, transesophageal electrophysiological study, exercise test, and ablation findings of 456 patients who underwent ablation treatment between January 2018 and March 2024 were evaluated. The average age was 12.2 years, ranging from 3 months to 18 years. There were 14 (2%) patients under 15 kg and 32 patients (6%) under five years old. The most common indication for ablation was AVRT 42.5% (n:194), and WPW rate in AVRT sub-group was 83.5% (n:162). Structural heart disease and CHD was detected in 13.5% (n:62) of patients. 25 patients were needed intensive care before taking to the Electrophysiology Laboratory. Ablation treatment was performed with veno-arterial ECMO support in two patients. The success rate was 95,9% (n:493) and the recurrence rate was 10.5% (n:54). An increase in exercise capacity was observed in patients with WPW and ventricular prematüre beats (VPB) after ablation. In our study, ablation success were higher than those reported in the literature. CPET results supports ablation even in asymptomatic patients WPW and dyssyncrony and patients with VPB patients.
