Başyukarı Kuyu Açma Makinesi ile Kuyu Kazısının Analizi
Özet
In this thesis, general information about raise boring methods is given. Additionally, technical, theoretical and literature information about raise boring machines (RBM) and applications are presented and compared with existing methods. Machine selection criteria and technical specifications of the RBM’s used globally in practice are also presented. The adequacy of RBM capacities according to shaft parameters is compared and the theoretical determination of it is presented in practice with numerical examples. The geotechnical and operational parameters that have a significant impact on the decision of upward shaft excavation operation are discussed, as well as the modifiable and non-modifiable parameters. Alongside the aspects that can be improved, the methods followed for improvement methods are also explained. Case studies are presented regarding the supporting of the shaft wall that has been excavated with RBM that have purpose-built reinforcements which serve their purpose and increase the survivability of the shaft excavated by RBM. Guidelines and guidance on the management of the raising shaft excavation process with RBM are provided. Finally, since 2012, the author’s personal and corporate experiences in the construction of shaft opened with RBM are presented as case examples. The method of drilling shafts with a raise boring machine is a fast, reliable method that provides an advantage over other methods in mining and construction activities, provided that the conditions are met in accordance with the working principles.
While explaining the fast, safe and near-ideal excavation characteristics of the method of excavating a shaft with a raise boring machine -which provides advantages over other methods in mining and construction activities, provided that the conditions in accordance with the working principles are met the thesis has also tried to draw attention to the risks that are not foreseen and whose existence can be revealed by qualified studies.
As a result, the research and work to be carried out before excavating a shaft with RBM and the actions to be taken during and after shaft excavation are discussed. It is thought that this thesis, together with the experiences gained from the case studies, will be a reference work for future with RBM shaft excavating studies.
