Onkoloji Hemşirelerinde Yaşlanma Anksiyetesi, Mesleki Stres ve Psikolojik Sağlamlık Arasındaki İlişki

This descriptive correlational study was conducted to determine the relationship between aging anxiety, occupational stress and psychological resilience in oncology nurses. The study was conducted with 220 nurses working in an oncology hospital in Ankara between December 2023 and February 2024. Personal Information Form, Relational Aging Anxiety Scale, Nurse Stress Scale and Psychological Resilience Scale for Nurses were used to collect the data. Descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation analysis were applied in the evaluation of the data. The mean age of the oncology nurses included in the study was 33.3±9.3 years. 80.9% of the participants were female and 55.5% had 6 months-5 years of working experience. As a result of the study, the level of relational aging anxiety, occupational stress and psychological resilience in oncology nurses was found to be moderate. A low-level positive relationship was found between aging anxiety and occupational stress, and a low-level negative relationship was found between aging anxiety and psychological resilience (p<0,05). No relationship was found between occupational stress and psychological resilience in oncology nurses. In line with the results of the study, it is recommended to plan in-service trainings and practices to manage occupational stress and support psychological resilience to reduce aging anxiety in oncology nurses.
