Acil Servis Yoğunluğunu Değerlendirmede Nedocs (Natıonal Emergency Department Overcrowdıng Study) Skoru Kullanımının Etkinliği

Emergency department (ED) overcrowding is a growing problem in our country as well as it is worldwide. İdentifying the ED overcrowding is the most prior. There are some calculators for identify the overcrowding. NEDOCS score is one of them. We want to test efficacy of NEDOCS score for our ED. Between 16.08.2015-17.09.2015 and designated times (09-13-17-21-01) a questionnaire was performed to on duty physicians, nurses, paramedics, intern doctors and ward person in Hacettepe University Adult Emergency Department. Simultaneously NEDOCS score was calculated. Demographic characteristics of ED staff on duty, ED overcrowding situation and level of exhaustion assessment, seniority degrees, work area, number of patients to follow-up, rest times between shifts and annual time off from work, duration of access to work and number of all staff were noted on the forms.
