Özet
The main foundation of this thesis is the idea that art production is intertwined with the relationship between object, memory, and fiction. In this context, the production processes of artists revolve around these three concepts, shaping the scope of the thesis.
Artists have been creating individual and collective memories through their works for centuries. In this sense, the art object is a form of memory that takes shape within the context of time and space. The role of the object is significant in the formation of this memory. When the object becomes part of the realm of art as a representation, it is stripped of its function. Artists use the object devoid of function in different contexts to create their own realms of reality. This realm encompasses various layers of the artist's life. From this perspective, the person experiencing the artwork becomes a part of a subjective imagination. The presence of metaphor and poetic language in the artwork is the key factor in experiencing this subjective imagination. Therefore, within the art object as a space, reality and fiction are intertwined.
