In 1948, when Israel occupied Palestine, many Palestinians were forced to migrate to Syria. Many Palestinians who thought that they would return to Palestine, could not return to their homeland and lived in Syria as stateless for generations. This study focuses on Syrian-born Palestinian women who experienced forced migration as the second and third generation. These women had to migrate from Syria to Turkey due to the Syrian civil war that started in 2011. The migration experiences of Syrian-born Palestinian women who migrated from Syria are analysed in the context of forced migration and gender, with the relationship of identity and belonging that women reconstruct. Adopting a feminist perspective, this study aims to make the migration experiences and life struggles of Syrian-born Palestinian women visible. The study focuses on three periods of Syrian-born Palestinian women's lives: Second and third generation women's life in Syria and their camp experiences, their witness to the Syrian civil war and the process of forced migration to Turkey, and their life experiences in Turkey.
