Türkiye’de Göç Yönetimi ve Göçmen Entegrasyonu Bağlamında STK’ların Rolü: Türk Kızılay Örneği
Özet
There are many institutions and organizations that directly or indirectly contribute to migration management in Turkey. There are actors such as the Presidency of Migration Management, which is the main actor of migration management in Turkey, and state institutions tasked with carrying out various activities for immigrants, as well as non-governmental organizations that assist migration management with various humanitarian aid programs for immigrants. Of these, the Turkish Red Crescent is a national association that carries out activities for immigrants and continues to make significant contributions to migration management. This study aimed to examine the integration works carried out by the Turkish Red Crescent, its contributions to migration management in Turkey, and its institutional place in the field of migration. The study conducted content analysis of the activities carried out by the Turkish Red Crescent units in the field of migration and integration using reports published by the Turkish Red Crescent. Results indicated that the Turkish Red Crescent's activities that facilitate structural integration were more dominant compared to its activities towards other types of integration. Projects that support social and cultural integration processes were also identified. It has been determined that, both with the internal guidance mechanism between programs and also with the perspective of reinforcing various aspects together, Turkish Red Crescent’s applications generally serve to strengthen these three areas together.
