Arslantepe Höyüğü (Malatya) Boncuklarının Mineralojik ve Petrografik Karakterizasyonu
Özet
Within the scope of this thesis study, the “stone beads” obtained from rocks and minerals found in the archaeological site of Arslantepe Mound in Malatya were subjected to examination and analysis in order to perform mineralogical and petrographic characterizations. As a result of the study, it was understood that primarily thermally treated steatite/talc, ophicalcite, and quartz minerals were used as bead materials; while varying numbers of metamorphic, plutonic, and volcanic rocks were also utilised.
