Anaokullarında 48-60 Ay Çocuklara Uygulanan Yapılandırılmış Kavram Haritası Temelli Kavram Eğitim Programının Çocukların Görsel - Uzamsal Algı Mekanizmalarına Etkisi
Özet
This research was conducted to investigate the effect of the structured concept map-based training program on the visualspatial perception mechanisms of children aged 48-60 months. It is known that visual-spatial related skills in early childhood are very effective in children's brain development. Conceptmap-based conceptual training program that can be applied to these children is thought to be effective in the development of visual-spatial perception skills. The study is in pre-testtraining-post-test model. Pre-test-training-post-test-follow-up test was applied to the experimental group and pre-test-post-test program was applied to the control group. The universe of the research is composed of 48-60 month old children who are educated in preschool educational institutions affiliated to M.E.B. in 2015-2016 education year. The sample group is composed of 48-60 month old children selected from M.E.B.'s central kindergartens by random sampling method. The sample consisted of 59 children, 50% female and 50% male, and 59 children constituted the control group. "Frostig Developmental Visual Perception Test" developed by Frostig (114) and validated by Sokmen (243) used as a pretest and post-test and 'Boehm-3 Basic Concepts of Pre-Concepts Test' developed by Boehm (52), and validated by Sucuoğlu, conducted by Buyukozturk, Ozenmis, (247), Ergul (103) and Akkok et al. (7) as reliability of validity by Boehm was applied as pre-test and post-test. The results obtained by using SPSS 24 for the statistical analysis of the data obtained from the subjects with the post-program post-test and follow-up tests were expressed in tables. By studying quantitative research methods, necessary statistical analyzes and studies have been completed. Frequency and percentage, T-test and One-Factor Variance Analysis (ANOVA, KWVA). Two-factor variance analysis, one-factor covariance analysis, T-test, and multiple linear regression analyzes were performed for the same data, repeated measures on a single factor. Finally, the correlations between the Frostig Developmental Visual Perception Test and the Boehm-3 test were examined. According to findings, pre-test post-test scores related to the FGGA test and the Boehm-3 test were significantly increased in favor of the post-tests. There was a significant difference in the post test scores between the test and control groups for both tests in favor of the experimental group. There was no significant difference between the measurements of the children in the experimental group and the visual-spatial perception post-test / follow-up test measures, or the conceptual skills post-test / follow-up test. This result is interpreted as the effect of the concept training program is permanent. In the light of the results obtained, it can be said that the concept education program supports children's visual perception skills positively. According to the datas, it is thought that the concept education program supports children's visual perception skills positively. In the direction of the obtained results, it is suggested that parents, teachers and researchers should use concept maps in the process of learning process, especially related to visual-spatial perception.
