The report titled "Relationship Between Food and Art as a Multidimensional Phenomenon" refers the historical and cultural importance of food, its reflection and mutual effects on art, and it discusses how food is included in art as a subject supported from different sources. People's relationship between food was not only limited to feeding but with time, it has become one of the most important dynamics of life, with the references of social, religious, etc. The expression of food, the source of human existence, has changed its dimension by the ways and tools people have used. Throughout the ages, art also has been one of these tools which constantly expands the scope of food / meal subject by different artistic expressions. By the way food has been correlated with different domains based on the importance it has on the artistic aspects, such as sensory, symbolic, cultural, semiotic, etc. enables its use on contemporary art in different ways. As a result of these correlations, food moved from a framework which was concrete such as arguments related to communication or consumption, to a conceptual framework. The report which researches the relationship between food and art as a multidimensional phenomenon in detail has been supported with personal studies. Within the scope of these studies, new contexts and new ways of expressions have been tried to be found. The result of the study, determines the importance of the topic of "Relationship Between Food and Art as a Multidimensional Phenomenon" on world art history and the present day, and tries to offer a personal contribution to contemporary art practice.
