LİNEER OLMAYAN SONLU ELEMANLAR MODELİ KULLANILARAK JANT İÇİ ELEKTRİK MOTORUNUN MEKANİK VE YORULMA ANALİZİNİN YAPILMASI
Özet
While the need for fossil fuels has increased dramatically in recent years due to the growing number of vehicles with increased population and the reduction of fossil fuel resources. Thus, this has been a serious problem for the automotive sector. Becuase of the increasing environmental pollution happening from the use of the fossil fuels, the search for clean energy has improved. In the 21st century, this quest in the automotive industry ended with electric vehicles. In wheel electrical motor design which is a type of electric vehicle has come to forefront because ıt does not need a powertrain to operate.
In this master thesis, the mechanical properties of “in wheel electrical motor” under different ambient and road conditions were investigated by the help of nonlinear finite element method. In nonlinear finite element method, a nonlinear spring has defined to improve the accuracy of the model. Quadratic and triangular mesh elements are used during finite element analysis. When dynamic analysis is carried out, the mesh size on the rotary contacts decreased for possible faults are reduced. Fatigue analyzes were made according to Von mises stress and life calculations were made and tabulated.
