AHISKALI, G.N., Determining the Validity, Reliability and Sensitivity of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach Scale in Individuals Diagnosed with Sjögren's Syndrome, Hacettepe University Graduate School of Health Sciences, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Program Master's Thesis, Ankara, 2023. This study was conducted to determine the validity, reliability and sensitivity of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach (BETY) Scale in individuals with Sjogren's Syndrome (SS). 91 individuals were included in the study. Quality of life questionare for patients with Primary Sjögren's Sydrome (PSSQoL), Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), Short From-36 (SF-36), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), EULAR Sjogren's Syndrome Patient Reported Index (ESSPRI), EULAR Sjögren's Syndrome Disease Activity Index (ESSDAI) and General Health Questionnaire (Euro QoL-5D) questionnaires were applied to the individuals included in the study in order to evaluate validity. As a result of statistical analysis, when the validity between the BETY Scale and the other scales used was examined, it was found that the correlation was between r = -0.616 and 0.766. In order to evaluate the reliability of the scale, the same scales were applied to 30 individuals again one week later. Test-retest method was used to evaluate reliability and in-class reliability coefficient (ICC, 95% confidence interval) was calculated. According to Spearman correlation analysis, strong degree correlation was found between the two measurements (rho=0.978, p<0.001). The ICC coefficient (0.991, p<0.001) was also quite high. In addition, Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.913) was examined for internal consistency and it was found that the internal consistency of the scale was high. In order to determine the sensitivity of the scale, all scales were reapplied to 30 SS individuals after 3 months. As a result of statistical analysis, there was a moderately significant correlation (rho=-0.403, p=0.027) between pain which is a subparameter of SF-36 and BETY Scale, while there was no significant correlation with other scales. As a result of this study, it was found that the BETY Scale is a valid, reliable and sensitive evaluation tool in individuals with SS.
