Özet
There is a necessity of different DC voltage levels in the military aerospace systems. Main DC bus voltage of the aircraft platform must be transformed into different voltage levels in order to feed various parts of the system. Due to physical constraints in an aircraft, DC-DC converters with high power densities (power per volume and/or area) need to be designed in order supply different voltage levels in the system. On the other hand, the characteristics of the voltage levels in the military platforms are defined by various military standards. According to the MIL-STD-704 standard, the designed system should comply with the different DC voltage and noise levels present in the aircraft platform. Thus, the designed converter must work with all of the input voltage levels specified in the MIL-STD-704 standard. In this thesis, a 500 W high power density LLC type half bridge DC-DC converter is designed and developed in order to transform 270 Vdc bus voltage of the aircraft platform to 28 Vdc in order the supply the electronic circuits of the aircraft ammunition system. Zero-voltage switching technique is also use besides the zero current switching technique in order to increase the efficiency of the converter. Converter is also designed achieve a high power density.
