• Long-Time Behaviour of Doubly Nonlinear Parabolic Equations

Khanmamedov, A. Kh. (Amer Inst Mathematical Sciences-Aims, 2009)
We consider a doubly nonlinear parabolic equation in R-n. Under suitable hypotheses we prove that a semigroup generated by this equation possesses a global attractor.

    • Real Dicompactifications of Ditopological Texture Spaces

Yildiz, Filiz; Brown, Lawrence M. (Elsevier Science Bv, 2009)
Real dicompactifications and dicompactifications of a ditopological texture space are defined and studied. Section 2 considers nearly plain extensions of a ditopological texture space (S, S, iota, kappa). Spaces that possess ...
    • A Novel Traveling Wave Solution for Ostrovsky Equation Using Exp-Function Method

Koroglu, Canan; Ozis, Turgut (Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2009)
In this paper, we predict a new traveling wave solution of Ostrovsky equation by using He's Exp-function method. The method is straightforward and concise and its application shows an imminent prospective for the nonlinear ...
    • Real Dicompact Textures

Yildiz, Filiz; Brown, Lawrence M. (Elsevier Science Bv, 2009)
A notion of real compactness for completely biregular bi-T-2 ditopological texture spaces is defined and studied under the name real dicompactness. In particular it is shown that real dicompact spaces are nearly plain ...
    • On T-Noncosingular Modules

Tutuncu, Derya Keskin; Tribak, Rachid (Cambridge Univ Press, 2009)
In this paper we introduce T-noncosingular modules. Rings for which all right modules are T-noncosingular are shown to be precisely those for which every simple right module is injective. Moreover, for any ring R we show ...

    • A Note on the Homotopy Analysis Method

      Turkyilmazoglu, M. (Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2010)
The present work is devoted to using an analytic approach, namely the homotopy analysis method, to obtain convergent series solutions of strongly nonlinear problems. On the basis of the homotopy derivative concept described ...
    • Series Solution of Nonlinear Two-Point Singularly Perturbed Boundary Layer Problems

      Turkyilmazoglu, M. (Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2010)
The present paper is concerned with the approximate analytic series solution of the nonlinear two-point second-order singularly perturbed boundary value problems. In place of the traditional numerical, perturbation or ...
    • A Strong Global Attractor for the 3D Wave Equation with Displacement Dependent Damping

      Khanmamedov, A. Kh. (Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2010)
We prove that if the displacement coefficient of the damping of the 3D wave equation is a positive constant on the interval (-l, l), for large enough l > 0, then this equation has a strong global attractor in H(0)(1)(Omega) ...
    • Quantitative Homogenization of Attractors of Non-Newtonian Filtration Equations

Novruzov, Emil (Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2010)
For a rapidly spatially oscillating nonlinearity g we compare solutions u(is an element of) of non-Newtonian filtration equation partial derivative(t)beta(u(is an element of)) - D(vertical bar Du(is an element of)vertical ...
    • Almost-Perfect Modules

Aydogdu, Pınar; Özcan, A. Ciğdem (Cambridge Univ Press, 2010)
We call a module M almost perfect if every M-generated flat module is M-projective. Any perfect module is almost perfect. We characterize almost-perfect modules and investigate some of their properties. It is proved that ...
    • On Dual Baer Modules

Tutuncu, Derya Keskin; Tribak, Rachid (Cambridge Univ Press, 2010)
In this paper we introduce T-non-cosingular modules, dual Baer modules and K-modules. We prove that a module M is lifting and T-non-cosingular if and only if it is a dual Baer and K-module. Rings for which all modules are ...
    • Dicompleteness And Real Dicompactness Of Ditopological Texture Spaces

Yildiz, Filiz; Brown, Lawrence M. (Elsevier Science Bv, 2011)
The authors consider interrelations between the completeness of certain initial diuniformities and the real dicompactness of completely biregular bi-T-2 nearly plain ditopological spaces. Completions and real dicompactifications ...
