Nev’izâde Atâyî’nin Sohbetü’l-Ebkâr Mesnevisinde Ahlâkî Esaslar

Abstract

It is one of the oldest subjects of ethics, philosophy and literature, which includes rules related to all areas of life. Works containing moral elements have existed since the beginning of oral literature. Divan literature has a rich history in terms of moral-educational works. In the tradition of Divan literature, both stand-alone works in the type of "nasihat-nâme", which consist of advices that focus on moral issues, and advice embedded in other types of works are encountered. Nev'izade Atâyî's work named Sohbetü'l-Ebkar is an instructive masnavi written on religious-mystical and moral subjects. In this study; The moral principles of Nev'izade Atâyî's in Sohbetü'l-Ebkar have been tried to be examined. In the study, the subjects covered in the masnavi are explained and explained within the framework of the couplets selected from the work about the related subject.
