Atıksulardaki Kadmiyum(II) ve Nikel(II) İyonlarının Tekli ve İkili Karışımlarının Kitosana, Kile ve Kitosan-Kil Kompozitine Adsorpsiyonunun Kesikli ve Sürekli Sistemlerde İncelenmesi
Özet
In this dissertation the adsorption of single and binary mixtures of cadmium(II) and nickel(II) ions, especially present in industrial wastewaters on chitosan, clay, and chitosan-clay composite was investigated in a batch and continuous packed bed column. In this study firstly composite adsorbents were obtained by mixing of chitosan and montmorillonit clay in different ratio and the one which had maximum adsorption capacity for cadmium(II) and nickel(II) ions was selected as working adsorbent. Best yield composite adsorbent 45:55 (w:w) chitosan:clay was used together with chitosan and clay in the adsorption of cadmium(II) and nickel(II) ions as adsorbent. In batch system studies firstly the effect of initial pH on the adsorption capacity of cadmium(II) and nickel(II) ions for each adsorbent was investigated and working pH was determined as 6.0 for each adsorption system and metal ions.
