Kadın Miti Üzerinden İronik Eleştiriler
Özet
This study, titled "Ironic Criticisms through the Myth of Women", covers the interpretation of female archetypes through myths and it examines the formation of roles based on the experiences of these archetypes and the transformations in the phenomenon of women. Today, in our current mythological world, the connection between the point where we position ourselves and the archetypes of beliefs in past cultures is quite strong. However, in the changing new world order, the roles attributed to individuals through archetypes have also been transformed. Today's women have had to struggle with the difficulty of not having an archetype to be a role model in their life experiences, since this new phenomenon has both similar and unprecedented aspects with previous experiences. In this context, the women started to question the gender roles created through archetypes, and they revolted by criticizing with their art from time to time with a cynical style.
The verbal nature of myths has supported its connection with art since prehistory. Therefore, art has become the language of expression of mythology. Since the female archetypes, which are the scope of this study, will best be read through myths, the fact that the language of our research is art supports our study with the connection of mythology and art, whose roots go back to prehistoric periods. Our aim in this study is to compose ironic criticisms of today's woman phenomenon through the mythological archetypes that we will relate to in the context of art. After all, art and irony are closely related to each other as well as art and myth. The scope of this thesis examines the archetypal symbols based on female myth and meaning transformations, and forms the personal views and approaches in line with the art examples that fit this context from past to present. In personal works, the intellectual backgrounds of the roles attributed to women have been criticized by highlighting them with allegorical expressions, symbolic forms and a cynical attitude.
