For the person who is stuck in the identity and body presented to him, the story of transformation begins with the removal of borders. The change, which multiplies as a result of deformation and allows the figure to take on more than one role, is a harbinger of a transformation that creates a feeling of uneasiness. The questions on the body that I used while creating a new identity often combine with animal limbs to form a grotesque body. In this thesis, we go down to the origin of the grotesque, and what is the grotesque? For what purpose and where was it used? What is its connection with fear? What were the effects on contemporary art? After asking such questions, the works and styles of artists who have worked on this subject will be examined in this context.
