XX. Yüzyılda Modernizmin Türk ve Gürcü Poetikasındaki Etkileri
Özet
Developed on the West, the modernism had affected Turkish and Georgian literature and especially poetry. There are great similarities between the modernization movements that emerged in different periods in the literary field. Modernism came to Georgia with the Bluehorns (Tsisperkhantselebi-original name) in 1915. The subsequent H2SO4 poetry movement was also a continuation of this innovation in Georgian modern poetry. In Turkey, the innovation that started in the Tanzimat era reached its peak in the Second New (İkinci Yeni-original name) poetry in the 1950s. Since the poets of these two countries, who was speaking different languages, didn’t not know each other and their works, there was no interaction between them. However, we can trace the elements of western modern poetry in the literature of both countries. The modernist movements that were developed in Europe had a direct impact on Georgian poets and this effect was simultaneous. In Turkey, this effect was delayed.
The change of language, syntax, orthography in poetry, use of free verse, attempts to write rhymed lines are common points of Georgian and Turkish poetry movements. In the face of the oppressive political environment developing in the background, the poetry movements of both nations had a common preference to stay away from politics. Here is the source of the dominance of images and symbols in the works of artists. In addition to thepoetry, the tradition of writing prose on poetry was an innovation from the west. Concepts used in the new poem created, words invented, etc. Explanations about it are contained in these prose. Both the Second New and the Bluehorns frequently resorted to prose for this purpose.
In this thesis, the modernization process in the poetry of both countries was evaluated based on the prose of the poets.
