DEMİRTEKİN M.,Validity, Reliability and Responsiveness of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach Questionnairre in Patients with a Diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Hacettepe University Graduate School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Program Master of Science Thesis, Ankara, 2022. This study was planned to examine the validity, reliability and responsiveness of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach(Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı-BETY) Questionnairre in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). 150 individuals diagnosed with SLE participated in the study. The Lupus Quality of Life Scale ( LupusQoL), Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Short Form-36 (SF-36) were used to validate the BETY Questionnairre. The Spearman’s correlation between the BETY Scale and the other scales was found to be between r= -0,522 and 0,735 (p<0.001). The test-retest method and the intraclass reliability (ICC) coefficient were used for reliability. The correlation between the responses of 30 patients to the BETY scale for 1 week (r=0.989, p<0.001) and ICC (0.985, p<0.001) were quite high. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0.952) was checked for internal consistency which was found to be excellent. In order to evaluate the responsiveness of the scale, time-dependent correlation of the BETY Questionnairre with all scales was examined in 30 patients with SLE after 3 months. LupusQoL, which is a SLE-specific quality of life scale, was moderate correlated with the parameters of planning (rho=-0,529 p=0,003), intimate relationship (rho=-0,421 p=0,02), body image (r=-0,443 p=0,014); while other parameters were low correlated. Similar to other scales, moderate or weak correlation was found. As a result of our study, it was concluded that the BETY Questionnairre is a valid, reliable and responsiveness assessment tool in individuals with SLE. The BETY Scale can be preferred as a tool for evaluation and follow-up treatment in individuals with SLE.
