Özet
This thesis focus on applying Human Needs Theory(HNT), as a way of Conflict Resolution,to Turkey’s Kurdish question. Human Needs Theory, critically, analised and, clearly, examined in an atempt to understant how it can resolve the conflicts, especially Turkey’s Kurdish conflict. After concentrating the theory, which needs are being the sources of the conflict in Turkey are searching. According to HNT, unmet human needs are the sources of the conflicts and in order to resolve the conflicts, that frustrated needs must be met. Turks’unmet security need and Kurds’unmet identity needs has seen as the source of that conflict. In order to clearly analyze that sources, Turks’ and Kurds’ perspectives to meet that needsare focused from 1920s till nowadays, 2012. Lastly, applied HNT to understand the sources of that conflict and the resolution of the conflict. It is argued that with the applying HNT, Turkey’s Kurdish question can be analyzed from a different perspective and can be resolved by meeting Turks’ security and Kurds’ identity needs.
