Yıldırım H.İ., Fatigue in Migraine Patients: Relationship with Physical, Psychosocial and Behavioral Factors, Hacettepe University Graduate School Health Sciences Neurology Physiotherapist Program Master Thesis, Ankara, 2021. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between fatigue and physical, psychosocial and behavioral factors in migraine patients. The research was carried out with 61 individuals diagnosed with migraine between the ages of 18-55. While the Migraine Disability Assessment Questionnaire (MIDAS) was used to assess migraine severity and migraine-related disability, Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) and Modified Fatigue Impact Scale (MFIS) were used for fatigue assessment. In the evaluation of physical factors, for the evaluation of posture; New York Posture Analysis (NYPA), for the evaluation of vestibular symptoms; Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI), for functional capacity assessment; 6 Minute Walk Test (6MWT), for cervical region evaluation; superficial-deep cervical flexor and extensor muscle endurance evaluation (SSFE DSFE, DSFEE, SEEE), Neck Bournemouth Questionnaire (NBQ), neck proprioception evaluation with Clinometer application were used. In the evaluation of psychosocial factors, for the evaluation of mood; Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Somatosensory Amplification Scale (SSAS) for the assessment of pain perception; Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS), for the assessment of self-efficacy; The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) was used. In the evaluation of behavioral factors, Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to evaluate sleep habits, Motivation for Healthy Eating Scale (MHES) were used to evaluate nutritional attitude, and 36-item Self-Reported Physical Activity Behavior (SPAB) was used to evaluate physical activity habits. 53 of 61 patients (86.9%) were determined to be tired according to YSS. In fatigued patients, moderate correlation was found between the MFIS and physical factors SSFE and DSFE (respectively rho= -0335, -0,313). Considering the psychosocial factor, it was found that MFIS was associated with BDI and PCS, and GSE at a moderate level (respectively rho=0,359, 0,354, -0,336), while it was found to be highly correlated with only PSQI (rho=0,403), from behavioral factors. It is the first study in which physical, psychosocial and behavioral factors are examined together in migraine patients who are tired. Fatigue is a multi-factorial symptom associated with superficial and deep cervical flexor muscle endurance, mood, pain perception, self-efficacy and sleep quality in migraine patients.
