Sözsüz Folklor Bağlamında Ayvalık Örneği

Abstract

In the Turkish Folklore besides oral, written and digital cultural environment another cultural environment is nonverbal. Created elements in the nonverbal cultural environments is used spesific functions in the culture as a result of some needs. In the nonverbal folklore which behavior such gesture and mimics, clothes, plays, colors and other nonverbal elements are cultural factors. Although mentioned cultural feature other sources that frequently examined and compiled that from past to present; in the Turkish Folklore studies such as semiotic, folk medicine, ceremony and traditions fields have been subject of research but it has not been studied in the context of ‘nonverbal folklore’. In this study, nonverbal folklore elements examples which detecting in Ayvalık; is it is aimed to show that introduction and examinitation of nonverbal folklore, mentioning the existence of a nonverbal cultural environment and in Turkey a limited number of nonverbal elements studied only in the context of communication are originally nonverbal folklore factors. For all that explaining the content of nonverbal folklore and the qualities it has and It is aimed to show that there is an examination area in Turkish Folklore studies.
