Mukaddimetü'l-Edeb (Yozgat Nüshası)-(Giriş, Metin, Notlar, Sözlük-Dizin)
Özet
Our doctoral thesis based on the Mukaddimetü'l-Edeb written by Zemahşerî, one of the most important language heirlooms written during the Harezm period, consists of Introduction, Text, Notes and Index-Dictionary sections. The text we are working on is stored in Süleymaniye Library and registered with Yozgat-000396 number. This text consisting of 348 sheets has the richest vocabulary of the Middle Turkish period after Dîvânu Lugâti't-Türk.
In the first part of our study, in Introduction, information is given about the author of the work, the work and its copies, the history of writing and the studies on the work.
In addition to the parts written in Harezm Turkish, Arabic-Persian parts of the text we have studied in the Text section have also been translated. The last 26 pages of the text consisting of 348 sheets, including entirely of Arabic explanations, are not included in the study. In the Notes section, the verbs in our text and in the historical texts of the Turkish language but we could not find out in the presence of the Harezm Turkish vocabulary are discussed and analyzed. In the Index/Dictionary part, the index and dictionary of the parts of the text written in Harezm Turkish have been studied. Arabic-Persian parts are not included in this section.
At the end of our study, the sources we used are listed under the title of Bibliography and Abbreviation. The facsimile of the text is not included in the study due to its large volume.
