IGBT Tabanlı Çift Yönlü Çevirgece Dayalı Süperkapasitör Enerji Depolama Sistemi Geliştirilmesi
Özet
In this thesis, a supercapacitor energy storage system based on Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) DC-DC converter has been designed and the performance of the system has been tested with computer simulations and laboratory experiments. A step-up and -down type supercapacitor charge-discharge converter, which can be used in different applications such as recovery of regenerative of braking energy in light rail transport systems and power regulation in photovoltaic power plant, has been designed and energy conversion efficiencies of the designed system at different switching frequencies when IGBT and SiC power MOSFETs used has been compared with computer simulations. A prototype has been produced in order to compare the performances of the IGBT and SiC power MOSFETs. Efficiency and temperature measurements have been obtained on this protoype system for different power levels and different switching frequencies under laboratory conditions. The performances of these two semiconductors under laboratory conditions has been compared.
