In this thesis, it is aimed at approximating the power production of the photovoltaic (PV) panels to the estimated power production of the same panels. For this purpose, an energy storage bank composed of supercapacitors and a SiC power semiconductor-based buck-boost converter have been designed and implemented. By using both systems, energy produced by PV panels can stored, directed, and returned back. Real- time power production can therefore be manipulated so that it becomes more correlative to the estimated or forecasted power production. In addition to the simulation studies, a laboratory setup has been designed. PV production data used in this work, have been collected from PV panels installed at Beytepe Campus, Hacettepe University, in the 48kW Photovoltaic Carport Project. Power production characteristics versus time before and after such a regulation have been examined. The developed laboratory setup has been tested at the initial stage by using a three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit at the input, supplied from the three-phase AC grid.
