This study was planned to assess the relationship between physical activity and quality of life and sexual function in postmenopausal women and evaluate the validity and reliability Turkish version of The Sexual Activity Questionnaire (SAQ) which was developed to assess the level of sexual function in postmenopausal women. 130 postmenopausal women with a mean age of 54,92 ± 6,25 years were included in the study. Demographic, physical, medical, obstetric and menopausal characteristics of all women in the study were recorded. Physical activity level of womens was assessed by The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), sexual function by Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and quality of life of by The Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire (MENQOL). The reliability and validity of SAQ were examined by analyses of internal consistency, test-retest, language and criterion validation. Criterion validity was made in the analysis of the validity of the scale by using FSFI. A statistically significant and low and moderate relation (p<0.05) was detected between IPAQ total score and FSFI total and sub-dimensions score (r=0.464, r=0.432, r=0.450, r=0.396, r=0.446, r=0.422), r=0.478). A statistically significant and low and moderate relation (p<0.05) was detected between MENQOL total score and FSFI total and sub-dimensions score (r=0.445, r=0.523, r=0.449, r=0.403, r=0.404, r=0.406, r=0.360). The smallest ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient) of items making up the subscale was 0.589 and the biggest ICC of items making up the subscale was 0.976. The SAQ for total score was ICC=0.946. The internal consistency (Cronbach's α) was determined 0.933 for all items. To investigate validity, correlation between total and sub-dimensions score of FSFI and SAQ was found statistically significant (p<0.05) and high and very high (the smallest r=0.622, the biggest r=0.937). According to our study, it was determined that the high level of physical activity and quality of life was related to sexual function in postmenopausal women and SAQ was a reliable and valid questionnaire for assessing sexual function in postmenopausal women.
