Özet
The major aim of this study is to examine the comprehensive effects of the relation between globalization and national identity. This study introduces a threefold analysis. The first chapter introduces the conceptual and theoretical framework of the study. This chapter primarily focuses on diverse conceptualizations of globalization. Afterwards, major perspectives on national identity and nation-state are also being interpreted. In the second chapter; economical, political and cultural dimensions of globalization are examined. In addition, this chapter also focuses on the leading theories of globalization. The concluding third chapter of this study, firstly, examines the context of identity by reference to its meanings throughout both modernity and postmodernity. Secondly, the effects of globalization on both national identities and nation-states are being explained respectively.
