9-12 Yaş Grubundaki Kekemelik Tanısı Almış Çocukların Güvenli Bağlanma ve Kaygı Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Girgin, M. Examination of Anxiety Levels and Secure Attachment to Parents of 9-12 Age Group Children Diagnosed with Stuttering. Hacettepe University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, M. Sc. Thesis in Special Education, Ankara, 2021. In this study, it’s aimed to be analysed the children speaking Turkish and have diagnosis of stuttering about secure attachment to their parents and the level of trait/state anxiety by different variants. In the extent of study Trait/State Anxiety Inventory for Children and the Kerns’ Security Scale have been applied to 62 children living in Ankara, having medical and pedagogical diagnosis of stuttering, going an educational institute for impediment of speech and ages from 9 to 12. The children who have been involued in study, filled the Kerns’ Security Scale both for their mothers and fathers. Detailed Demographic Information Form prepared by researchers filled by the parents of children. The study is imagery and datas have been collected from the children at the age from 9-12 who has only the diagnosis of stuttering. Within the scope of the study, the level of children’s trait/state anxiety and the level of secure attachment to their parents have been researched by the different variables. According as the results of the study, it’s been seen that the level of trait anxiety is meaningfully different with the gender, the birth order and if parents divorced or not. The level of state anxiety is meaningfully different by the result of the status of parents (divorced or not). The level of secure attachment to their parents is not different by the demographic variables. In addiction to these findings, the linked variables between correlations have been researched and as conclusion there are meaningful relation with statistically different levels. The results which have been collected will contribute to the parents and the proffessionals who have been working in that subject about early intervention, prevention and education of the children who have diagnosis of stuttering. By the study it’s been thinking that they will add more quality to the children’s life.
