Türkiye`de Askerlik Hizmetinin Düzenlenmesi
Özet
The world has been going through a crisis since the 1970s. This crisis resulted in a transition from the fordist regime of accumulation into post-fordist regime of accumulation. Hence, the public services have been gradually commodified. As a public service and a superstructure institution, military service has been influenced from this fact. The European armies have changed to professional military systems from compulsory military service since the 1970s with such arguments of neoliberal ideology as productivity and costs. Turkey also took important steps in this manner in the 1980s. This study aims to analyze the transformation of military conscription processes in Turkey in the frame of the mentioned methodology.
